I'm the person behind this blog, a space created to help freelancers and small businesses simplify bookkeeping, expense tracking, and financial decision-making.
This project is, in many ways, a return to where everything started for me.
My academic journey began in fundamental accounting, studying in a common core accounting program at INSCAE Antananarivo.
This is where I first learned:
How financial systems are structured
How businesses track income, expenses, and performance
Why clarity in numbers matters far more than complexity
Later on, my path evolved.
I continued my studies in strategy and marketing and got my Master from IAE Poitiers (France), where I shifted my focus toward business growth, positioning, and decision-making.
That transition naturally led me into a career in digital marketing, which I've been working in for over 6 years.
Working in digital marketing, especially with freelancers, solopreneurs, and small businesses revealed something very clear:
Most people don't struggle because they're bad at business.
They struggle because their financial systems are unclear, manual, or overly complex.
I saw:
Freelancers guessing their profit
Business owners relying on spreadsheets they didn't fully trust
Financial tools built for accountants, not for real users
Ironically, the problem wasn't a lack of tools, it was too much complexity.
This blog is my way of reconnecting with where I start: finance and accounting, but through a modern, practical lens.
Not accounting as:
endless rules
heavy jargon
intimidating software
But accounting as:
clarity
decision support
a tool for growth
Here, we combine:
accounting foundation
strategic & marketing background
and real-world experience with digital businesses
to help you build simple, efficient financial systems.
What it is:
Practical guides for freelancers and small businesses
Honest explanations of bookkeeping and expense tracking
Independent reviews of tools that simplify finances
What it is not:
Accounting or tax advice
A promotion platform for complex software
A sales funnel for accounting services
I don't sell bookkeeping services.
Some links on this site are affiliate links, which help support the project, always at no extra cost to you.
My goal is simple:
To help freelancers and small businesses:
Understand their numbers
Save time on manual financial tasks
Reduce stress around money and taxes
Make better decisions with clearer data
